Corporate services

This multidisciplinary team manages finance, ICT, HR, assets, communications, and travel, providing the support that allows all of GBK’s programs to thrive.

  • This year, our focus was on efficiency and internal capacity. We continued to strengthen internal controls and refine systems, ensuring accountability and sustainability.

  • We invested in tools and infrastructure that directly benefit our remote workforce.

A key highlight was rolling out Starlink connectivity for many of our island-based service teams – breaking down barriers to communication and making it easier for them to connect and deliver for their community.

In 2025, GBK’s Corporate Services team played a vital role in strengthening how we deliver for our communities, keeping everything running smoothly while building the capacity needed for greater impact.

  • We led a targeted strategy, which included practical support in setting up and managing banking, budgeting, bookkeeping, payroll, and reporting systems. This has given PBCs the tools to operate with confidence and transparency.

  • GBK spearheaded the development of a Traditional Owner Remuneration Policy, designed to help PBCs and Traditional Owners engage in clear, consistent, and fair fee-for-service arrangements. This important step ensures Traditional Owners are recognised and valued for their contributions while strengthening the sustainability of PBC operations.

Our commitment to careful stewardship has continued to deliver results. With strong financial oversight, GBK once again achieved healthy financial returns, reinforcing our ability to reinvest in people, communities, and programs that matter most.

GBK’s Corporate Services continues to play a vital role in strengthening how we deliver for our communities – providing a strong foundation for GBK’s success today and into the future.
