GBK continued to strengthen its financial and governance oversight through the active contributions of the Budget and Finance Committee, the Governance Committee, and the completion of the annual external audit.

  • This year, this committee sharpened its focus this year on building Board members' financial literacy.

    Targeted training sessions equipped Directors with stronger financial knowledge to support informed decision-making.

    The committee also advanced work on an Investment Strategy – laying the foundation for GBK’s Future Fund, which will grow resources for long-term stability and community benefit.

  • The Governance Committee played a vital role in driving governance improvements across the organisation.

    Working with the Board and management, the committee reviewed policies, strengthened compliance practices, and guided refinements to ensure GBK’s governance framework continues to evolve with community needs and statutory requirements.

The annual external audit was once again successfully completed, affirming GBK’s strong financial management and the effectiveness of its internal controls.
